Puffbelly Bowser by DragonKick Puffbelly Bowser by DragonKick
Inspired by Bowser's inhale move in Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

Still experimenting with inks so I'm aware it's probably a tad hard to make out.

YES! This is great. I love the graphic style you've been using lately.
Oh, I keep meaning to ask, how do you add the tiny dots in the background like that? Do you just import it from a separate picture?

Thanks, man. And the dots is a simple feature in opencanvas 4.5 which I use.

To get that specific effect, I use the dotted texture feature, mix it with a black to white gradient so the dots slowly fade when I apply said gradient, then put a light grey background behind it so the white dots show up.

If you wanted the same effect, when I first tried it Oc4.5 is free to use if you don't mind having some features removed, such as saving your custom brushes, saving certian filetypes, etc (I use those features constantly and had used the origonal OC for years so was happy to pay for a liscene) go download it. Try doing that effect in the trial/free version of OC 4.5 then just copy/paste your results as a new layer into the program you use.

I'm sure you could get a similar effect in other programs but I just found out how to get this effect after just randomly throwing a background colour into [link] and thought 'wow, that looks pretty awesome'.

Cool, thanks so much! I think I have Opencanvas 2 at the moment, I should probably update that. XD

Thanks, and if I did it would just be a quick wash. I like to keep my inks black and white so it's easier to examine what I did right/wrong.
